BB&S Daylight & Tungsten Pipeline LED System

Effective: September 6, 2015

BB&S Intros 4 new Lighting Systems IBC 2015

Brother, Brother and Sons (BB&S), pioneer of revolutionary remote phosphor and other LED lights will showcase an array of new lighting equipment at its 2015 IBC exhibit in Hall 11, Stand 11.D46.

Taking center-stage in the BB&S display is the Pipeline LED System, an expandable array of modular, cylindrical fixtures, customizable to suit specific requirements. These totally new form-factor 1-inch diameter LED lights are available in lengths of 1’, 2’, 3’ and 4’ (305mm, 610mm, 914mm and 1219mm). Offering the many benefits of Remote Phosphor’s light quality and consistency, they provide brighter, higher fidelity light emission. Whether installed in a multi-lamp reflector bank (1, 2 or 4 Pipes), or deployed in a single reflector, Pipelines provide extremely pleasing output for modeling faces and illuminating backgrounds. Visitors can also see production models of the compact Pipeline Reporter 3200, 4300 and 5600 Kits, made to address the challenges of traveling correspondents who often deliver reports via Skype or Messenger from a webcam on a desktop.

Area 48 Remote Phosphor soft lights have been a hit since they made their debut 2 years ago. By swapping phosphor-coated panels, the light can quickly change from daylight to tungsten or other color temperatures. Now a staple for features, television and news sets worldwide, the source is comparable to a traditional 1k soft light. The Area 48 will be shown for the first time with an optional new reflector and an octagonal soft box. Also new are the Area 1×2 and Area 4×4 frames that provide for ganging two or four Area 48s together for a more powerful soft light.

Also being unveiled is the Area 48 Soft L5 soft light, made especially for F.O.H. applications, television studios, classic concert halls, motion capture studios and theatre, where extremely smooth dimming in the last 5% is needed. All the accessories of the classic Area 48 work with this 48V system.

The new Ledheimer LED PAR is available in daylight and tungsten balance models and features a CRI in the high 90s. Ledheimers combine the tried and true PAR design with all the advantages of LED lighting technology. To meet the need for a variety of beam angles, three interchangeable reflectors offer narrow, medium and wide beams. Because the LED fixtures don’t generate heat like tungsten and HMI PARs, the reflectors can be changed out without waiting for cool down.

BB&S’ 5600K & 3200K Force V LED Ellipsoidal heads set new standards for daylight or tungsten LED and very low power consumption. The light engine features a high CRI of 90+ for accurate color rendering, hybrid cooling using a silent fan, and heat sink. It supports dimming via DMX from 100% to zero.

Also being shown is the LED Flyer™, portable boom light that can be quickly deployed especially for fast moving productions, where it significantly simplifies the lighting process and produces unprecedented variable-color 3000K to 5600K overhead soft light. The complete kit includes a Molded Case, Light head, Diffusor; Diffusor Skirts, power supply, AC Cord, DC Cord, Integrated Belt Pack for Remote Controller and battery plate. IBC will see the premier of the new China-style ball diffuser.
