BBS Lighting New Remote Phosphor Pipes in Banks at NAB booth # C11146

BBS Lighting, innovators in LED technology, vastly expands their remote phosphor offerings with Multi-fixture Reflector banks and 4-way Controller for the modular Pipeline® system, a new version of their popular Area 48® fixture, and more—all made in Denmark.

BBS’ Pipeline® system is an expandable array of customizable cylindrical fixtures that produce soft, projected fully dimmable, 100%-0 output, without color shift. The rugged, 1-inch diameter LED Pipes are available in 1’, 2’, 3’ and 4’, lengths offering the benefits of remote phosphor’s brighter, higher fidelity light emission of over 1000 lumens per foot with a 95+ TLCI. Users may select from 3200°K, 4300°K or 5600°K Pipes to use individually or combined, along with the new 4-Way Controller. For the first time attendees can see 3’ and 4’ Reflector 4-bank housings that hold either 5600°K, 3200°K or a mix of the two, as well as soft boxes and grids for each.

Following the success of the Area 48 Soft, BBS offers a new version with ultra-precise dimming in the last 5% to 0%. The first of its kind, this feature is especially useful for sound stages, television studios, classic concert halls, theatres, and motion capture studios where extremely smooth dimming through the entire range, from 100% to zero is needed. The new 48V Area 48 Studio operates silently due to the system’s fan-less cooling.

A new Remote Dimmer for the Area 48 Soft LED light system debuts. Palm-sized, it provides single or multi-fixture 16-bit dimming of Area 48 Soft fixtures smoothly from 100% to blackout. The dimmer overrides on-fixture settings, and a numerical rotary knob allows easy and precise intensity dial-in while ON/OFF toggles between blackout and chosen setting.

BBS’ K7 unique, round-shaped light will also be showcased. Attractive and unobtrusive, it easily attaches to most surfaces via a strong neodymium magnet, and can be oriented in any direction, so it is useful to illuminate nooks in the background of broadcast sets, museums and high-end displays. It comes with a choice of 3W LEDs at 2700°K, 3000°K or 4000°K color temperature. The beam can be varied and controlled via quick-change lenses and honeycombs.
