Big Upgrades on SmallHD Monitors at IBC Hall 11, Stand 11.G64
Cary, North Carolina–September 5, 2014: SmallHD, creator of the world’s first compact high-definition on-camera monitor, will showcase advances to its monitor lineup and other camera tools at stand 11.G64 at the 2014 IBC Exhibition in Amsterdam.
Founded just five years ago, SmallHD’s incorporation of why-didn’t-I-think-of-that toolsets to its small, high-definition monitors has vaulted the company to an industry leading position. Regular firmware upgrades have future-proofed SmallHD customers’ monitor purchases.
The SmallHD DP7-PRO seven-inch on-camera monitors are available in LCD, OLED and HIGH BRIGHT models. A groundbreaking firmware advance, being issued for IBC, upgrades DP7-PRO monitors with a first-of-its-kind toolset that gives users a number of unprecedented advantages. Users can now perform on-monitor color grading so crew and client can choose and update color settings in real-time. Graded imagery can also be sent downstream to another monitor. The upgrade also enables easy production and exporting of LUT tables for post-production, and facilitates simultaneous display of previously created effects or animations as reference frames next to the live video on-site.
To solve the issue of accidentally breaking the Canon 5D camera’s Mini-HDMI or USB port, SmallHD also introduces Port Lock Protectors for Canon 5D Mark III and Mark II HDSLRs. The Port Lock Protector easily installs onto the HDSLR to safely secure the cable plugs in place. Surprisingly cost-effective, this quick install add-on is a must see.
