Valley Cottage, New York: March 16, 2012 – Sachtler, part of Vitec Videocom, a Vitec Group company, presents the new Ace tripod system at NAB 2012 in booth C6032. Compact, durable, and absolutely lightweight due to its unique composite material, Ace offers familiar Sachtler quality at a sensational price/performance ratio. Ace is the optimal camera support for the growing video and DSLR filmmaker market. The product is now available in the USA.

With the Ace tripod system, Sachtler offers its authentic broadcast feel for the first time to videographers whose projects include everything from low-budget documentaries and EB to industry films, wedding, event, and training videos, as well as webinars. Featuring an ergonomic design, intuitive operation, and a payload range of 8.8 lbs (0 to 4 kilograms) Ace is ideal for lightweight HDV camcorders and video-enabled DSLR cameras. Developed specifically for Ace, the patented SA-dragTM (Synchronized Actuated Drag) enables exact and reproducible pans. With the 5-step counterbalance, the camera set-up can be quickly balanced.
