Cary, North Carolina: September 23, 2015— SmallHD announces a Sidefinder™ Electronic Viewfinder giveaway promotion. From September 23 – October 9, 2015, customers who purchase a SmallHD 501 or 502 5-inch monitor from SmallHD.com or a recognized Dealer will receive a free Sidefinder Optical Loupe Accessory, valued at $300.
When paired with a 501 or 502 monitor, the Sidefinder Accessory is the highest resolution (1366×768) electronic viewfinder and the highest resolution (1920×1080) 5-inch, on-camera monitor—in one. The union between either of SmallHD’s 500 Series Monitors and the custom-designed, professional EVF Loupe, offers all the benefits of using a field monitor and an EVF, without compromising speed, agility, or image quality.
The Sidefinder features a patent pending “folded” shape that makes for a footprint smaller than other EVF solutions. It offers a large, easy to view screen, and a shape that allows operators to slide the viewfinder close to the camera, adapting to any shooter’s preferred eye position.
The Sidefinder can quickly change configurations, from through-the-loupe viewing to directly viewing the monitor when it’s swung out from the loupe. A third mode allows the monitor to be detached from the camera and attached to a gimbal, slider, jib-arm, dolly or other camera support device. An included wireless remote can be attached to a tripod handle, camera rig or stabilizer in any location convenient to the operator, and enables full monitor and viewfinder control.
The powerful 500 Series monitors are available in the 502 Model, featuring both SDI and HDMI input and output connectors, and the 501 Model for those who need only HDMI inputs and outputs. A recent firmware upgrade provides an enhanced toolset of features including HD Waveform, 3D LUTs (on-screen and embedded downstream), and HDMI/SDI cross conversion for the 502.
To receive the Sidefinder Accessory, the purchase of the 501 or 502 monitor must be completed by 11:59pm Eastern Daylight Time on October 9th, 2015.
