Vinten Radamec Unveils New Entry Level Robotics Solution at IBC2012

Valley Cottage, NY, September 10, 2012 – Vinten Radamec®, part of Vitec Videocom, a Vitec Group brand, has created the key to entry level robotics with its new CP4 control solution. Visitors to the forthcoming IBC 2012 event in Amsterdam, 7-11 September, will see for the first time the company’s innovative, ‘out of the box’ solution.

The CP4 is a simple and easy to use product designed specifically for use with small, robotic heads. It provides the ideal cost effective solution for a variety of applications – from regional news studios and conference centers, to houses of worship and legislatures.

Karen Walker, commercial manager, Vinten Radamec, says: “This entry level robotics solution is set to play a fundamental role in those smaller robotics applications, either in non-studio environments or in remote studios, such as regional news programs. It’s simple to install and straight forward to use so it can be ready and operational in minutes – we’re confident that we’ve created the ultimate out of the box solution.”

Utilising flexible Ethernet network architecture, the CP4 has a unique Windows based touchscreen user interface that can be configured to control up to four heads, and store up to 40 pre-set shots. The desktop solution is easy to upgrade to include a user configurable option, with the capability of controlling up to 8 heads and 200 pre-set shots.

The CP4 is a competitively priced product that has been designed to meet the needs of operators regardless of their level of robotics knowledge, and provides a solution that is easy to use, install and maintain.  It supports the Intelligent Control Engineering (ICE) protocol that is incorporated into the recently released series of Vinten Radamec next generation heads. The ICE technology delivers unprecedented control and accuracy in a highly compact form.

“Visitors at IBC 2012 will be able to see the CP4 packaged with two of our new FHR-35 pan and tilt heads which will demonstrate how easily it can be integrated and how its supports our forward-thinking ICE technology. CP4 will provide operators with the most reliable entry-level robotics solution; it was designed with simplicity in mind while still providing the solid, high quality performance that customers would expect from a Vinten Radamec product.”

Visitors at the prestigious broadcast show will be able to see Vinten Radamec’s expanding range of ICE based products which will form an integral part of the company’s exciting IBC 2012 line up.
